Also to quote reply 3 from the OP he says he doesnt know what loom was installed only that the towbar was installed by a dealer.

Maybe the dealer farmed it out and it wasnt a full VW kit.

If things are worth being a sticky the Mods will make them so and if they arent the polite way of getting it there is not the way you have introduced your self to the forum. Being rude to well a respected poster like Umai Naa will not endear you to the rest of us so pull your head in till you have been here a while.

I'm a newbie on the forum but have 50 years of experience with diesels, and 30 years experience with VWs.
Just because someone joins your forum doesn't mean that they don't know anything.
The mis-information in the Touareg forum is astounding.
