Damn, your brake pads are costing more then my first car did.
Sounds expensive, maybe get pads without the sensors and check them every 10k kms.

Point to remember that a 2.5 ton Touareg with 330mm Brembro brakes is not a Golf at half that weight.
No, was told the disc are fine and don't need to be replaced.

    Yeah, it's a monster.

That's kind of true, and also kinda of alot of scare mongering... The wear sensors, although a genuine part, are probably 99.99% made by a company called TRW, or one of their subsidiaries, like Remsa.

We supply Remsa parts, which are part of the TRW group of companies, and as good (if not better) than what comes standard. Will also come with the wear sensors, which as I said, is probably identical to the OEM one, which is probably made by TRW. Remsa are also becoming VERY popular on this forum with everything who's tried them, including a moderator who happens to be a mobile mechanic and now loves them... (I'm sure he'll pop up soon! :p)

There's a few options on Remsa pads to suit the Touareg, so I'll list them all up with prices, and you'll be able to see the difference. Let me know your exact model and details, and I'll let you know which ones are applicable, but I'll put them all up now for reference.

Nothing like the prices you've been quoted!

Sick of paying too much for performance brake pads? Want high performance with low rotor wear?
