Given that the 2017 Touaregs have a space saver spare Tyrewhat provision has VW made for storage of the flat tyre until you can get it fixed? Can it fit in the spare wheel well or do you have to find room for it in the boot?

One point to consider. If towing, use of the space saver is not legal. So you will need a full size spare stashed somewhere. This means that the storage of the flat tyre is kind of solved in this case.

Given that there is not the provision to put the flat tyre, you might as well get rid of the 'Space Saver' and add a couple of cans of tyre inflater, then use the rest of the space for storage.
