    Schuco 301 615 Passat TS

Just arrived in the mail today.

    1:43 Schuco 301 615 VW TS Passat.

Good detail. Engine bay and under body is reasonably accurate and doors, bonnet & boot all open.

Not sure why the roof and bonnet is matt black though. Seems original.

I also have this model (used to drive one for several years) but it is not a TS. The Passat TS was 2-door.

I have the Variant version as well.

Only two doors on this model open The front 2!

There's a typo on the box on the far end it reads 301 615 VW Passat TS which granted is incorrect but that's what's on there. Maybe ours is in the wrong box.

Underneath the car it actually corrects the mistake

Cast into the floor is the following table.

    Actually Peter,

I will have to check out both models; yours also has rounded chrome bumpers ('74-'75 Passat) but four headlights (>'77).

Schuco is normally known for their accuracy although the chromed wheels just look bad.

I have the latest Schuco catalog and it is not in there. The new catalog has the Tiguan and Golf VI and R8. I had never heard of Schuco before until I was in Dubbo and found a place Traintasia. I bought some of their 1/87 stuff as well as a couple of other things. Your model looks like to be deleted stock, as I have just bought off Mogo Mojo Models a 1/43 TS Passat from Minichamps in that greenie colour and it is deleted stock.

    TS

Ummm, not 100% sure, but I have been following a Thread from a forum in Norway (I think, that's where) and the guy on there "polardego" has a four door hatch TS Passat... So just maybe they did do such a beast... Either that or something got lost in translation, or he did it for fun just to be a tease....
    Too many dubs to mention....
