    VW Robust coming to Australia

    From Wheels Magazine (March 2009):

They call it the Robust, we call it Germany's HiLux. VW's first heavy-duty, one-tonne ute was originally designed for markets in South America, but Aussie tradies should be able to saddle the Euro workhorse in late '09.

Well having a ute in your line-up and not bringing it to Australia is like having a BBQ without tomato sauce so that's no surprise

Volkswagen Individual have converted two Touaregs into pickups but only for wealthy clientele

Yeah I spoke (and quizzed) the Commercial Vehicle rep. who was talking to prospective customers.

It will be here definitely late next year in single and double cab guises; with cab chassis variants also possibly in the works.

Not yet but they plan to undercut the Hilux.

Full specs are due before end of year.
