2009 Jetta TDI Cup “Street” Edition Concept

2008 SEMA: VOLKSWAGEN JETTA TDI CUP “STREET” EDITION
The performance of the Volkswagen Racing Jetta TDI is now available

LAS VEGAS – With the conclusion of the successful 2008 Jetta TDI Cup Volkswagen of America is bringing the race car to the people with their Jetta TDI Cup “Street” edition special model unveiled at the 2008 SEMA show.

The similarities to the race car are evident at first glance – the Jetta TDI Cup edition features the front bumper, side skirts and rear valance that are on the Jetta TDI Cup cars. However, the upgrades on the Jetta TDI Cup “Street” edition go beyond cosmetic with the addition of the brakes and sway bars found in the performance-oriented GLI sedan combined with a European sport tuned suspension.

The TDI Cup “Street” is powered by Volkswagen’s powerful 2.0L clean-diesel TDI producing 140 hp and 236 lbs. ft. of readily available torque, mated to the six-speed DSG transmission with Tiptronic® and Sport mode. The TDI Cup Street edition rides on Yokohama 225/40R18 ADVAN sport tires and 18-inch multi-spoke wheels.

The TDI Cup “Street” will be available in similar GLI colors and feature “TDI Cup Edition” appliqué for the vehicle side and branded door sill inserts. The interior brings upgrades that include a race-inspired three-spoke steering wheel with the TDI Cup logo and interlagos cloth sport seats.
Based on consumer feedback, the Jetta TDI Cup Edition may be available as early as 2010 with a price starting under $30,000.

    Tiguan Performance Concept

    2008 SEMA: VOLKSWAGEN PERFORMANCE TIGUAN
Compact Sport-Ute brings in the noise and the funk

LAS VEGAS – For the 2008 SEMA Show,Volkswagen has brought performance, styling and audio upgrades to their popular new Tiguan, the GTI of compact SUV’s.

The upgrades start on the outside of the Tiguan Performance with a complete body styling and fender flare kit, spoiler, side steps and a custom two-tone paint job. Not to be shown up by the new interior the performance level has been raised in this already hot compact SUV. The 2.0L TSI four-cylinder engine is now breathing through an APR Stage 3 Turbo Kit, and is rated at scorching 295 hp and 300 lbs. ft. of torque, coupled with the 6-speed Tiptronic® automatic. Also included is the new APR sport rear muffler and carbon-fiber cold air intake.

Holding the Tiguan Performance to the street are Yokohama 225/40 R19 tires and Volkswagen’s 19-inch Omanyt alloy wheels and the 4Motion all wheel drive system. For added stopping power, the Tiguan Performance was upgraded with an APR/Brembo GT Performance Braking System featuring 328x28mm drilled rotors and Brembo high performance brake pads. H&R performance springs and sway bars provide an extra measure of control for the Tiguan Performance.

To ensure interior performance was not neglected, Volkswagen worked with Rockford Fosgate to bring in a custom-built audio system. The system features 1400 watts of legendary MOSFET power. Rockford’s, brand new for 2009, POWER T1000-1bd 1000 watt mono amplifier powers two P3D410 dual voice coil 500 watt PUNCH subwoofers.

A Power T400-4 amplifier delivers 400 watts of clean power to each of the door component speakers featuring 6.5” mid-bass in the front doors & 5.25” mid-bass in the rear doors, with matched inverted hard dome tweeters. The newly amplified system was seamlessly integrated to the Volkswagen Multi-media player and DVD-navigation system.

    CC “Gold Coast” Edition Concept

2008 SEMA: VOLKSWAGEN CC “GOLD COAST” EDITION
Sports car dynamics with a luxury touch

LAS VEGAS – The Volkswagen CC Gold Coast highlights powerful performance, strong lines and luxury touches, combining the emotional and expressive stance of a sports coupé with the convenience of a luxury sedan.

The CC Gold Coast builds upon the luxury sports coupe that debuted at the 2008 North American International Auto Show with luxury and performance extras like tri-coat paint, high-end interior appointments, and ground affects that enhance the sportiness of Volkswagen’s newest sedan.

The unmistakable Volkswagen front-end, with two cross-struts and a centrally placed Volkswagen logo between trapezoidal headlamps is highlighted by the ground effects on the CC Gold Coast. The CC Gold Coast features DuPont’s Pepe Pepper, which compliments the cars design characteristic with a rich mix of gold, brown and silver tones.

The rear end of the coupé is also marked by large-surface dual taillights that produce an unmistakable visual image day and night. A spoiler with additional rear-end ground effects helps further enhance the vehicle’s sporty nature. The CC Gold Coast sits on 19-inch Lugano polished propeller style wheels, which provide a combination of sharp style and improved curb appeal.
Volkswagen’s attention to detail is shown off in the interior of the CC Gold Coast with four ergonomically formed sport seats wrapped in luxurious leather, a combination of Latte Macchiatto, Cornsilk with Bronze Piping on the seats with matching accents on the dash and door trim.

With an eye on performance the CC Gold Coast edition features the 3.6L FSI, rated at 280 horsepower and 265lbs.-ft of torque, with the innovative DSG double-clutch 6-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic®. The front brakes have been upgraded to the R8 Ceramic brakes and the vehicle rides on a KW coil over suspension.

    CC Eco Performance Concept

2008 SEMA: VOLKSWAGEN CC ECO PERFORMANCE CONCEPT
311 HP Super CC ups the performance ante in luxury for the people

LAS VEGAS – Powerful performance meets luxury in the Super CC performance concept Volkswagen unveiled at the 2008 SEMA show in Las Vegas.

The Performance CC brings a sleek exterior treatment highlighted by black chrome exterior accents, grey pearl paint with custom front and rear bumper, side panels and machined aluminum spoiler. The black treatment continues inside with high-gloss piano black accents offset by matte black graphics. Customer black leather Recaro seats and matching floor mats are highlighted with white piping.

While the Performance CC looks striking, the upgrades will get hearts racing, the 2.0L TSI engine has been upgraded with an APR stage 3 turbocharger system with three performance levels. In Full Power mode the Performance CC brings 311 hp and 313 lbs. ft. torque; GT mode offers 252 hp and 268 lbs. ft. of torque; and in the Eco mode 222 hp and 236 lbs. ft. of torque. Also included is the APR stainless steel performance exhaust system. Key fact to take note of is that in the Eco performance mode, horsepower went up, as well as fuel economy. A production 2.0T CC automatic gets 28 hwy/19 city and our CC in Eco mode gets 33 hwy, 27 city. Even the full power mode showed a fuel economy increase!

The Performance CC sits on custom designed 10-spoke, 20-inch wheels and high performance 245/30 R20 Yokahama tires with an H&R street coil over sport suspension kit. With all this power to handle, Volkswagen has upgraded the brakes to provide extra power to stop. The Performance CC features 14-inch Brembo brakes with 4-piston Aluminum Alloy Brake Calipers and 355x32mm 2-Piece Floating Cross Drilled Discs with Billet Aluminum Hats.

The Performance CC was designed by the Volkswagen Design Center in California with assistance from APR, LLC (www.goapr.com), Recaro, H&R Suspension and Brembo North America.

I searched Google Images for the Street edition of the Jetta TDI and this came up

I LOVE the kit on the Jetta, it would make people as the question "Who'd have thought a Diesel could look THAT good".

The Tig and the Gold Coast CC I quite like too, and it's a real shame they'll probably never see tarmac (or at least in Australia).

As for the CC Eco, lock it up and throw away the keys. Keep the engine & rims, dump the kit!

Never the less I agree it look damn hot... although the rims on the ECO Concept look too much BMW for my liking
