Well done Ben. It's easy to see why VW dropped the SEAT range in 2000.
I am also interested in the sales of the mk2 GTI as I owned one for 11 years.
I was told by Eblens a long time ago that there were around 45 sold in SA.
It would be interesting to see a breakdown of diesel to petrol sales.
The car that has really taken off is the mk5 golf.
Firstly, good job on this collection
Sorry if this is a newbie question...but, passat W8's were sold in australia??
Never seen any!

Great find there Ben, awesome work there Supermod.
I'm surprised each year of sale the vr6 fell
But the Golf CL/GL models increase, now talk about getting the word around on a great car
I'm soo euro even my missus is shaved...
Thanks Phaeton - these figures are excellent and very interesting. In '91 Audi wholeheartedly outsold VW. Australia must have been one of the few markets where this has occurred.
Of my 4 VWs, 3 are in the post-91 list, and another now sadly sold. It was a new '96 Dragon Green VR6.
Tim was curious as to how many VR6s. Well, the figures are above ofcourse, however, what the figures don't show was '95 saw 100 Colour Concepts in the country, and as best I know, were divided such into 20 of each of the 5 colours (Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Black) and 10 each of manual and auto.
Phaeton - did your figures you have for '91/'92 break down the Syncro vs non-Syncro for Transporter and Caravelle?

It would be interesting to know how many Golfs are GT/GTI/R32
