First car back in the early 90's was a dark blue 68 Beetle. It was a real bugger of a car broke down all the time, spat oil everywhere and smelt like something was rotten in the exhaust pipe, but I loved it to bits!!! I drove it everywhere and spent more time polishing the faded exterior than I did on my uni assignments (still can't believe I passed !!!). After uni when I joined the big scary workforce I needed a reliable car so unfortunatly the bug had to go in favor of a newer model Ford Laser. Didn't ever forget the feeling the bug gave me everytime I drove it so when the new beetles came out in 2000 i was hooked. Took me a few years to save the pennies for one though and took posession of a spanking new cabrio in late 2003 (which still looks, feels and drives like it came out of the showroom - apart of course from the 18 inch bling bling wheels that I just HAD to have!). My VW collection has now grown to include a 57 oval window, a 74 1300 (which is currently being fully restored to her former glory) and the latest addition - a 07 Polo GTI.

Can't ever imagine myself driving anything but VW's

well for me, a friend of mine had a vr6 few years back in high school until he tolled it. He drove it like it as if it was a bumper car. I would sit in the centre back seat and holding on the door handles of both side and him flooring it down george st. Things we did when we had our red Ps. I loved that car !!!

It was actually by chance for me, old car was breaking down needed a new one, budget was $10000 went on carsguide.com. This guy was selling it for 9 and a half, great bargin I thought. The following week I was just about to call for a test drive, he actually droped it to 8 and a half. Thought to my self "thats f****ing mine!!!!!"

I have only ever had VWs since 1974!
Aircoolers in those days starting with a 1958 beetle.
My first golf was bought in 1977, a 12 month old 3 door LS with 18,000 kms on the clock. It was also the first golf in Tas with aftermarket Aunger mags.I sold that 4 years later with 320,000 kms on the clock and my brother still has it!
I mnust have owned over 20 golfs since then and have used a fair few in competition as well.
The one time I had something different was when one of my golfs was in a bodyworks for 3 months following a bad headon prang. It was an old HK Holden, yuk!!!!!

    Hello all.
I got involved with VW because Wippells Autos in Toowoomba got hold of VW as the current dealer was not selling enough, I had bought Mazdas and Subarus of them and I 1st bought 3 flash red polos from them for work ( Electrical contracting and white goods repair business ) and since have a 2.0 TDI Golf, 4 Tonardo red caddies, my red life and the wifes red GTI. The last caddy I purchased was my 45th vehicle I had bought off them since I started business 14 years ago. I am extremly happy with the product and am constantly telling everyone how good they are
    Regards
