I don't see this as a negative....
Many people overlook Suzuki's. They're generally a pretty good car.
Those little suzuki cino's were awesome, and the GTi's were freaking bulletproof and went pretty damn hard for their size.
I for one see this as a positive.
-Cheap Reliable VWs due to.....
-Local Production
-Japanese Relability on parts (you know what I'm on about)
-Perhaps a Jap-German CV production line so we can finally beat the Hiace

that would be a positive.
Good quality little cars, not to mention the motorbikes they make! AWESOME

Suzuki Swift Sports to be released with VW's 1.8l Turbo engine, upgraded brakes, transmission and engine mounts (along with properly aligned rear beam axle).
That would be good for Suzuki, but how would it be good for VW?
I cannot see what Suzuki could possibly offer VW in terms of technology and/or engineering. The Zuks are great little cars, but not VW beaters in any sense other than lower price.

A 3 cylinder 2 stroke water bottle ?????? Plenty of grunt but a bit short on the refinement we dubbers are accostomed to.
But they don't use motorcycle technology in any of their little cars. Daihatsu used a 3 cyl in many of their cars, the Charade turbos were a real bulletproof unit, but that's not suzuki.

Yes but they do offer an additional income and they make good cars.. Not great cars, but good cars.
You wouldn't know if they could be a benefit to VW engineering wise or not really.. They may have something there to offer that isn't in your face and easy to notice.
Sure VW are good.. But that doesn't mean they know more than everyone else and can't be any better..

not sure about the last time you checked out a bike mag but bike engine technology is insane!
most of the 1litre superbikes now are producing upwards of 120kws
ok ok, its not a car engine and its all about peak power, but those engines arent hand grenades, they are designed for everyday riding.
I recon if Suzuki could pull more profits for VW then the effects of that would be good (possibly more R&D, bigger model range etc)
