That article quotes 211hp engine.

If that's correct, there's nothing for current GTI owners to lust after in that department - the current engine probably produces that much anyway.

So that might mean that in AU the GTI will follow current price levels, and the GTI R will replace the R32 at the R32 price level.

That would give the VW Aust marketing a good GTI "fit" but still make it hard for the Scirocco to be wedged into the range ????
