    Jutta Dierks - promotion

VOLKSWAGEN Group Australia managing director Jutta Dierks has been appointed to the German manufacturer’s ‘Global Top Management’ – a group of about 220 senior managers from across the world “who have excelled in all areas of the business”. A 25-year Volkswagen veteran, Ms Dierks has worked in areas of finance, human resources, parts and sales across Europe, China and, since 2005, Australia. According to a statement released last week, the appointment is a significant personal honour for Ms Dierks and is also recognition of the contribution the Australian arm now makes to the international Volkswagen AG business.

I'd like to see Ms Dierks say thanks to VWWC for also helping o encourage so many of their new sales.

    Well.... it'd be nice

I think she is more into chasing sales than supporting the VW enthusiast component ......

She forgets its the enthusiasts that will return and by another VW whereas other buyers are driven by price (mainly) and features and could not care less what car they drive...... and are more than likely to buy somethinge else next time based on their weird criteria.

Very very very few manufacturers do this, come to think of it the only people that do are they jap boy racer manufacturers. I even remember the evo8 was being offered with warranty covering significant modifications to car such a ECU remaps, exhausts and suspension systems.

If only... It'll come and bit them in the arse in a few years though, the growth in the market for dubs is eventually going to slow down, new models won't even stop that.
