i love dubs for sure, but it's been said a million times before. why are they always so timeless and attractive, years down the track? because they were boring, bland, and design wise, safe as **** at the time of their release.

you dont succeed in volume selling by making something provocative.

Hmm, I reckon it's got something to do with them being the same company.

Heh. The one that I posted seems to have a bodykit
In any case, if the spyshots from the original post are what's become of these shots from earlier in the year, then maybe I'll wait for the final shots to come out before passing judgement. RIght now, there just seem to be subtle differences that make me not like the spyshots as much.
Hmm.. anyone else think the ones from the kilometer magazine look like a stretch Corrado (esp the rear)?

Excellent point and one which few appreciate. Remember how 'stylish' the Mazda 3 and Mazda 6 looked on release? They've had to update their styling already. Why? Because their styling is for the time of release where VW and other Euro makers try to make lasting designs which grow on you.

Anyhow the car in these pics is still a 'mule' and heavily disguised to look like a Toyota.

Doesn't China get their own somewhat subtle design tweaks, could these be from a market other than our local delivered Jettas?

Up until a while back, Volkswagen of Canada was still using the Mk4 shell as the City Jetta:

And they still have the City Golf:

The model this thread is talking about is the all new gen 6 Jetta which is for global consumption.

The picture you showed is of the FAW-VW New Bora which is based on the Mk4 platform aka Bora (China only).
