If my Jetta gets written off, which path should I follow ?

I am having my Jetta inspected tomorrow by Alliana for its recent hail damage.
If it gets written off,I will be devestated,as it has been the best car I have ever had,however...
    Am thinking of 2 options...PLEASE HELP,ADVICE NEEDED.

1.Have looked at all the similar cars on the market, but keep on coming back to the Jetta.
However,am reluctant to get another A5,as have had mine for nearly 3 and a half years, and as it has not changed, besides mechanically,it will be like buying the same car again. If I did not have a Jetta,I would grab a 2010 model.
I have seen renderings of the all new 2011 model, and would more than likely have changed over to this in 18 months time.

I saw a very good condition 2008 Toyota Corolla Ascent Auto sedan ex Avis last week, and am thinking of buying it for cash,as it was a very good price,to use for the next year or so,and would then be able to still get into the next shape Jetta....and I think I would be able to sell the Toyota very easily.

2.Buy a brand new Honda Accord Euro,I can get one for a very good price .
I LOVE the look, and it is wonderful to drive, and feels very solid but the current Jetta still beats it in rear space, boot space, and as it is the standard model ,I do with out the automatic wipers, headlights, self dimming rear view mirror, tyre preassure monitors, adjustable front passengers seat and reverse sensors.
Also it has a plain cloth interior, not the velour.

I have never had a used car,but the Corolla will come with 1 years new car warranty,a service...it has done 52000 kilometers,a bit high for a 2 year old car ???and 12 months registration with new plates,as it is ex NSW.

Any sdvice will be much appreciated.

One of the cars I considered was a 118 TSI Golf, but want a sedan...so that crosses that option off the list.

    Maybe a 118TSI Golf Wagon or a 125TSI Tiguan?
Or check out skoda as they have some pretty nice looking cars that are essentially made from vw/audi's parts bin.

The new jetta won't be out here for quite some time, it hasn't even been released in America/EU yet and is only in non-official renderings so far.

If you have the extra dough to top up from the sale of the Corolla, I'd get that first and wait for the new shape Jetta to be released.
By then, I'm sure the old Jetta shape would be heaps cheaper, or you could actually get the new sexy Jetta.
52,000 seems high mileable for 2 yr old, but it depends (maybe the previous owner lived a few hours outside the city and had to drive a long distance to/from work?)

Anyway, you would have saved yourself the biggest depreciation drop (from day 0 to day 1). Toyotas hold their resale value quite well.

Have deceided not to buy the Corolla,I am VERY fortunate.
All of my cars have been brand new and very much loved, and I just cannot get into a used car.

It looks like its going to be a Jetta 118 TSI,or a Honda Accord Euro...
