did my test in a mk1 - its great 'cos the guages are buried so far into the dash you really need to lean over a loong way to see from the passenger seat. got mine first go too.

Jeez! Well at least it's less than 1,000.

It took me 2 goes, and the second with only 2 markdowns Started reversing out with the door... erm... open.

Passed the knowledge test first go. I let the car coast above 60km/h down a hill and failed my first practical test. Passed the second.
    Nothing to see here...

3x lucky ... first failed to honk the horn for a stupid car cut into my way during the test and also took my left foot off the clutch on neutral at the red light.

Second almost failed to stop at red light (turning green just in time as I drove past the light). It was at the tricky multiple traffic lights on the (Sydney) Neutral Bay - Millitary Rd overpass ramp to/from the Warringah Freeway if you know what I mean ... too overwhelming for a nervous L-platter

1 go. almost didn't because they said I did 60 in a 40 school zone, but seeing as my test didn't start till the school time zone ended i corrected them and passed
