So much better than the MKV. I can't wait for the GTI-R (should be R GTI so they can do the cool .:R thing.

I think I'll hold judgement until it is officially released!

Until then, I'm making no immediate plans to replace my MkV. Why replace something I still enjoy looking at?

I did a bit of a nose to nose comparison of the MKV and MKVI .

The VI has a longer front overhang, and a slightly flatter bonnet line, making it look more like an Audi. Don't know if the extra front overhang is to move the engine further forward, or to allow more room for better intercooler.

Be interested if others can see this too, or whther it's jut my eyes deceiving me.

I'm more interested in the twin drive, 120km of distance on the batteries before the 2.0TSI petrol motor starts kicking in.

    Now THATS a hybrid, I can't wait

Yay, this looks real nice. Not too sure about the perspective of it from certain angles, but I'm sure in due time it will be good I love that steering wheel.... !

mmmm, yep i'm loving the look of it inside and out.
I especially like the re-introduction of the straight grille with the red border. It's a classic GTI 'must' and i'm glad it's back.
Be interesting to see how it drives...

I know it's old school retro and a homage to the oldies and at the risk of being berated as a "blasphemer" I really wish they'd get rid of that damn plaid fabric! Or at least offer another fabric option apart from the bizzillion $$ leather option anyways.

GUYS dont buy the MK6 ... it takes 25 hours to make versus 35 for the golf mk5.

DO YOU THINK THAT MAKES IT MORE QUALITY, OR LESS QUALITY! !!!!

IT will have tonnes of cheap construction methods to save 10 hours.... its gonna have build quality of an old subaru!
