Pretty damn nice, it still looks like a Golf5.5 to me, but I do like it none the less. VW badge on the steering wheel is too small IMO, and the GTI honeycomb grill looks a bit undersized as well. Time will tell when they start appearing on the roads!

why would a decreased production/assembly time equate to a lesser build quality. think of how fast automated machining is - ie cnc vs manually operated machinery.
apparently, a lot of componentry is simplified. think constructing a multilink rear suspension set up compared to a torsion beam. that's quite a large over-simplification but you get the analogy.
i see it more as being more efficient..? :?

Those larger wheels look like they came off the Golf W12 concept.
Perhaps there are a few other W12 cues there - I'm just looking at the scalloping in the side sill skirts.
The Mk6 definitely looks slightly more aggressive.

i love the flattened and straightened grille and bumper between the headlights - hearchens back the mk1 and 2.
all reports seem to think that this car will have more of the mk4 body quality that the mk5 never got.
it takes a while to design out the complications in a car - the mk3 is a good example - a strong, tough, long lasting high quality car that took all the development from the mk1 and 2 to make. the mk5 was a big step in "new bits" - now vw have had a few years to find out whats what, the mk6 should be an improvement.
