    Thanks Ben
    Cant wait.
My Reflex Silver Jetta 2.0 FSI Tiptronic will be one of those cars.
I have just seen that VW in Canada had a great year
    VW USA held its own.
They are both anxious for the new Jetta Sports wagon and TDI s.
And Mexico produced its second best figures ever.
VW are on a roll world wide.
And things should keep on improving in 2008.

VFACTS INDUSTRY SUMMARY - DECEMBER 2007

The Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries issues the following summary for the retail sales performance of the automotive industry for December 2007.

    Key Points:

    • The new vehicle market volume for full year 2007 reached 1,049,982 vehicle sales, an increase of 87,316 or 9.1% on 2006. This established a new record mark for the Australian automotive market and is the first time that a million sales have been exceeded in a calendar year. The previous record of 988,269 was set in 2005.
    • The December 2007 industry volume of 86,250 is also a record and is up 9,187 or 11.9% on December 2006 (77,063 vehicles). December 2007 (24 days) had the same number of selling days as December 2006, resulting in an increase of 382.8 vehicles per day.
    • The December 2007 industry volume is down 5,831 or 6.3% on November 2007 (92,081 vehicles). However in seasonally adjusted terms the December monthly volume equates to a 1.4% increase versus November.
    • The Passenger Vehicle Market increased by 3,374 vehicle sales (7.0%) over the same month last year; the Sports Utility Vehicle Market, increased by 2,856 vehicle sales (20.0%); the Light Truck Market, increased by 2,344 vehicle sales (20.2%) and the Heavy Commercial Vehicle Market increased by 613 vehicle sales (21.4%) over December 2006.
    • Toyota was market leader in December, followed by Holden and Ford. Market leadership for full year 2007 went to Toyota with a volume of 236,647 vehicle sales and a market share of 22.5.

    Volkswagen's sales for 2007 were 27,400 -- up 5,829 from 2006 sales.

I'm too lazy to post the model breakdowns right now, but if Ben doesn't get to it later today I'll see what I can do.

    Thanks for the figures Ben.
WHAT A YEAR IT WAS FOR VW.
And look at the Jettas figures for December...outselling the Golf.
It just goes to prove that if the cars are promoted...they will sell like hot cakes.
    Bring on 2008 now.

    vw sales in january

I am anxiously waiting for Januarys sales figures.
My brother is thinking of buying a new Jetta, but stocks are very low since November and Decembers promotion, and there are waiting lists if you want a specific colour, such as the new Grey colour.
