How hard would it be to swap the keys around?
Why not just buy the eco version that doesn't rev or go fast at all?
This isn’t a VAG story, but something I found interesting, what do you think? *Is this a technology you would like to see make it’s way into our VAG vehicles? The MyKey system forms a part of the new Ford Fiesta’s safety and driver assistance features, which also includes Ford’s Intelligent Protection System with seven […]

Why not just actually teach kids to drive before handing licenses out willy-nilly. This is still only a short term solution.
It's a joke how easy it is to get your license here
Parental controls for car? No, just no. If you don't trust your kids to drive sensibly or you haven't taught them well enough then don't buy them a car. Make them buy it and they'll appreciate it far more and more than likely be kinder to it.

It was an interesting concept and something I thought I would share.
No seatbelt = no radio I find completely reasonable (although I don't know anyone who doesn't wear a seatbelt). Mind you taxi drivers get around the binging warning lights/sound by running the seatbelt behind the seat (or sitting on it).
Now turning off TCS etc seems reasonable too, how often do you NEED to turn those off... that said, it's not like this is a V8 burnout monster now is it?
Early fuel warning? Well I know plenty of people who need that anyway.
Warning beeps at different speeds? Technically I can set those now... although only one.
Speed limiting... well that's where I start to completely disagree. I can just see some concerned parent setting the speed limit to 70/80/90 or what ever the limits for P platers are these days only to see them try to overtake someone by pulling out and flooring it only to be met with a wall of nothing but fast approaching oncoming vehicles....

I know some people who could do with an early fuel warning too, and I don't even know where the "TC off" button is on my new car, and never pressed it on my last one, so I don't have an issue with that either.
All that annoys me is all these new laws and now new technology that says "young people can't drive, so let's nurse them through it", instead of saying "young people can't drive, so we will give them lessons and teach them how".
