    i wont argue into this because not worth it (no offense to you personally) but yeah. theres a lot you dont know, and a lot you dont read. theres a lot of bad companies out there and you should definitely only hire direct through a large company, make sure its corporate location and not licensee as well as read your contract carefully.

    All the companies I refer to are the biggest in the industry. Coincidently the best experience was with Thrifty. There was a fault that I didn't notice on collection but did the following morning. I phoned straight away & it was noted on their computer. However there was a fault with the clutch interlock that most of the time wouldn't allow the starter to operate.[Hyundai Getz]
    Understand how it works, troubleshoot logically BEFORE replacing parts.

    Europcar Adelaide Airport took my $400 insurance excess for damage found on car after it was returned - no proof of the damage ever provided to me, they rang me about it an hour later. We had a fascinating phone conversation that went;
    EC: "The car is damaged, a twenty centimeter hole in the front bumper"
    CW: "It was fine when I parked it, I cannot explain how the damage occurred"
    EC: "You have to fill out the accident declaration form"
    CW: "There was no accident, how can I fill it out?"
    EC: "There must have been, the car is damaged"
    CW: "There was no accident"
    EC: "We will send you the forms anyway, we have already debited your credit card, good-bye"

    This happened to me, no hearsay, no libel!

    Charles.
