Drove the e-Golf based on the current Mk7.5 platform in NZ recently.
Was really just like driving a regular golf except for the silence (road noise) and the linear torque.

Shame they don't offer these in Au. Would buy one for the Mrs

I'm dead keen for one. Perhaps not at $60k but an electric Golf is absolutely the next car I want to buy.
