    Thumbs down Tiguan Engines

So im on the Tiguan mailing list thing as I was interested in this car when it came out (Toureg maybe a little too expensive/big), i noticed that they have announced the 2 engine options are the 1.4 TSI and the 2.0 TDI, am somewhat dissapointed there isnt at least a 2.0 TFSI engine and possibly a V6 option, i know this will probably come later but i thought the TFSI engine would have been available from day 1.

Not sure on the weight of the Tiguan, but it seems a little big to be released without the option of a slightly more powerful engine.

TSI is sufficent enough I think

New to the Volkswagen program are the 150 hp and 170 hp versions. A glance at the torque values makes one sense that the TSIs are very high torque. The 150-hp TSI already develops a self-assured 240 Nm (from 1,750 rpm). In the 170 hp and 200 hp performance range it is 280 Nm (from 1,800 rpm each).
TSI tech will replace FSI very soon in all VWs.

TFSI & V6 will most likely be added to range later on (TFSI maybe US only )

Im a sucker for TFSI though, i know the 1.4 would be "sufficient" for crusing around, but if im going to get a SUV (for kid and 2 dogs) I want a ball tearing 3.2/3.6 V6 or a TFSI engine I can chip. But thats just me

So with prices....what do we reckon?....obviously will plug the gap between Passat and Touareg so between 50 and 75 perhaps?

Well lets see Passat starts at 54K and Touareg starts at 64K so I think midway between the two, 59-60K.

EDIT - we may be lucky and it get it lower but I highly doubt it
