I dont see how its hardly still a Golf. The 4wd came from a golf and the motor came from a Golf......

I dont know about you polo drivers being closed minded, i think the problem is your to "open minded" and lack dublove.
I am open minded but im a VW enthusiast first and a car enthusiast second.
If a vw driver signed up on to a nissan forum and was 'spewing' about how good mk1's were, you would most probably be seen as a tool and would be rejected. However, if you were a nissan driver on a nissan forum (same as us here with vw) and were going on about how good an mk1 was, I think that creates fair discussion as there is no direct bias. Your comparisons haven't been relative yet mate.

That mk1 may have other parts from OTHER golfs yes, but it's hardly a mk1.

I always struggle to see why just because I drive a Polo I get put into what seems to be a negatively viewed group of 'You Polo Drivers', we are all different in our own way. We like and dislike different things and have different thoughts on different ideas. We've had many an argument over topics as well. The 'You Polo drivers' comment covers a very broad range of people really, and carries no merit in conversation.

I don't lack dublove at all. Yes I may be relatively new to the scene, properly getting into dubs in 2007 (have to start somewhere as I'm sure you did), but I have surrounded myself with them at home, at work, and pretty much all the time between. My gf hates the fact that I'm an avid dub supporter, constantly complaining that I love VW more than her, and that I should marry my car lol.

The point I'm making is that I can see outside the box and appreciate other badges just as much as VW. I have a broad love of cars, but obviously there's bias for VW because I drive one. As I said I've grown up around jap turbo imports living on the Gold Coast (they are EVERYWHERE in huge numbers), and aussie V8's with my dad, but that doesn't mean I'm going to disregard or turn my nose up at those type of cars just because i've jumped in a euro.

Not looking for an argument here mate, so please keep your negativity aside in future.

    2. With that sort of coin, the only thing that resembles a nissan 'pulsar' (actually a 'Sunny' which it was released as - it's was just considered and now commonly known as a Pulsar because of the similar N14 front end), is the shell.
    What?

Sorry, but I hate misinformation. The car was designed/made IN JAPAN as the Pulsar and released in the european market as the N14 sunny. It is an N14, not a similar N14 front end. The N14 was released as 3-door and 5-door. The GTiR wasn't the only 3-door Pulsar to be made. They came as base model FWD 1.5's, 1.8, 2.0L as well as more basic AWD models, designed for the Japanese alpine regions. Even the Euro released Sunny is the same N14 chassis. The Sunny name was originally made for the B series chassis and the name was used by nissan europe for the N13 and N14 chassis'.

I could go on and on about pulsar history, but I won't bore you all with stuff you have no interested in

You've basically just extended on what I was saying. I could have gone on and on about details of the Pulsar/Sunny, but that gathers very little interest in this forum.

Who are you to decide I'm not interested in the GTI-R? I've actually been looking for a decent one for quite some time for a full blown track car project . You must know me better than I do, and I've never even heard of you

I really didn't want this to happen to this thread but can the mods please clean all this up/close the thread. It's so far off-topic an no longer about the mk1 in post 1.

I didn't say you're not interseted in GTiR's. You just sprout stuff acting as though you're some knowledgable GTiR pulsar person, when clearly you're talking out your hat.

I'm not fussed if you know me or not. I have been here 2 months, doesn't mean I don't know pulsars. I've only been around modified and import ones for the last ten years...what would I know? Don't see me sprouting bs about Mk1's now do you?
