Its what the market wants I guess, large muscular looking pick ups with lots of plastic trim.

Just confirmed by AutoBlog Argentina Robust will likely have a 2.0L TDI power with around 125kW @ 350Nm of torque. (Only 2nd to the Navara)

A Flex fuel (ethanol) powerplant is also under development for the Brazilian market.

How sure are you ? Everything I've read and heard have pointed to the 128kw TDI (2.8l). Even my local dealer has said as much.

    1) The fact that the Germans on T5 Board are talking 2.0L TDI for T5 revamp.

    2) VW now downsizing across the engine range.

    3) Argentina Autoblog would have more of an idea than anyone seeing as Argentina will build the Pickup.

Saying all that though I wouldn't put it a stray that VW will bring a bigger engined TDI (crosses fingers for V6 TDI ).

i cant wait to see the engineering underneath one of these things.

the jap and american dual cab utes are ruuuuubbish.

the only 2 decent (tough) utes on our market at the moment are the Navara D22 and the Rodeo/Colorado.

The Navara D40, Triton, Hilux, BT50/Ranger are all soft. Can't take a beating like the old trucks can.

if VW build this like they do their normal cars it should be excellent providing they haven't overcomplicated things. You can't help but laugh when you compare the underside of a Golf to a Corolla.

    Agreed.

As its targeted towards South America and South Africa; I'm hoping it won't be to complicated as well.

I can't stop looking at the pictures

I wish VW would reveal the production model already
