2009 Scirocco Photo Album

I am really disappointed because the IROC was a nice looking concept and the original Scirocco was one of my dream cars when I was 13 years old.

The IROC looked more like the new lancer, which was the only think it had against it. The look of this production version shows derivatives of everything that has been produced in the last 3-5 years...3 series, impreza, alfa 147, Mazda 3, but does not look like a VW to me.

Oh, my dreams have been shattered...

I was honestly hoping they'd remain fairly close to the original concept, but as forementioned, it's starting to look a little too much like a lancer, and the rear end looks like an the Alfa Brera.

Furthermore, what have they dont to the instrument cluster! I love the crazy digitized readouts with what appeared to be a GPS nav system in the other... *sigh*

got to admit, the IROC piqued my interest, however what it has matured into i would gladly leave in the showroom...guess i will have to stay with my original Mk1 till something "better " comes along...

ooops, havent been following this thread.

I think the new Scirocco looks excellent.

I have a pair of spare glasses here for anyone who thinks it looks even remotely like a new Impreza
