Possibly if VW get the Thai factory started.

Why is a good question

VGA Boss Jutta Dierks has mentioned that she wants to target a volume market below the Polo.

Lets face it Polo is not a volume player in the Australian scene.

Gol would most likely tap into the Yaris and Jazz market (just imagine the volumes.)

If all falls into place I'd expect it around 2011-2012.

WHAT ABOUT THE LUPO!!! It looks good! Just because the jazz and yaris look and sound (name wise) like some ugly monster doesn't mean VW has to make a crappy looking car with a crap name too.

Sometimes you have to wonder about design gingerbeers. They're different!

In South America the Gol is the volume seller. Looks like 25% less car so they left off 25% of the name (GOL vs GOLF lol)

In the flesh they look bigger than polo, and fox (lupo) is much smaller again. IMO they would do well to bring in the crossfox - looks like a mini-touareg
