That is super cool. Just what I need for taking the kids to school.

im so thinking of getting this, unless you want it smok I just saw it on gumtree then, then I thought I'd check here, it's still got the 1600 in it. But I have a pug 504 in the driveway that I'm trying to move, misses would kill me if I just turned up with this haha hmmm
Is there a big mk1 scene over here?
the golf is not dead.
I'm not interested in the Passat, just thought it was cool and needs to go to a vw fan rather than a scrap yard. Would make a very unique resto. As for the mk1 scene in Perth, I believe it's pretty small but has some very dedicated followers, they seem to be a friendly bunch though : )

It's very cool hey, I just can't muster the cash right now, bummer cuz I've been waiting for one for ages, hope it goes to a good home

Offer him $500 and see what happens. The worst he can say is no but at least he knows you're interested.

Just had a look at this Passat, man is there some rust! And oil and rust, all windows need to come out and sills repaired and rubbers replaced, nothing that surprised me tho, it's out of rego and needs to go over pits so a lot of work before its back on the road, if somebody Ifonly I knew somebody in Perth who could loan me a chassis spit roast jig and a mig or some free workshop floor space, I would take this project on.
