thats pretty expensive
fair enough then i was thinking more towards ecu management or maybe the flow rates are slightly different
I was thinking the same too.. They can be had second hand pretty cheaply from the US. The UK market is generally more expensive for aftermarket gear.
Having said that I think to have one professionally polished costs a packet!
The problem with buying second hand is always going to be if something in the kit isnt working or its not complete then its gonna be hard to source the parts separately other than brand new which is mega $$$
Save your $$ I had a schrick it wasnt work the money and it had to be removed to change the plugs and wires, My buddy had a Euro 2.9 that was damaged so we cut it open to see the differences- If you want more flow open up the under side of your stock 2.8 upper manifold and get to grinding the aluminum channel on the inside and extra aluminum thats beside the channel that comes from the throttle body to the six runners and make it smooth as possible-I bead blasted the inside of mine and then polished it a bit mine then welded the back plate on. Also we port matched the upper and lower manifolds and gasket matched and then powder coated it. Way cheeper than a euro mani or a schrick and it can be done in day with the right tools-just my 2cents

SLAM.POKE.TUCK.DROP.DOPE!
A gutted manifold wont give you the extra low down torque as well as the better flow up higher in the rev range. Thats the whole idea of the Schrick
They are expensive yes but I still think it was one of the best mods I did on my MK3 VR6. If you can pick one up cheap and arent interested in Forced induction I dont think they can be beat!
