    What motor is that in there? Looks to be some sort of 8V cross flow.

    I think its an early 5 cylinder.

    You could probably swop an early 5+5 running gear etc into it if necessary.

    I believe it's a 1.9 4cyl.

    The one I looked at looked the same (engine bay wise) but the engine wasn't straight up a golf item. Might have some similarities with 1.1 & 1.3 golf/polo mk 1 engines though.

    From my research, most of the rest of the layout should be reasonably similar to the B1 though. The C1 (audi 100) was the first watercooled VW/audi (basically) and the passat was based off that.
