    very cheap VR6 in Melbourne

    I just found this:

Volkswagen Golf 1994 VR6 Reg till end Jan 2011 Manual - eBay, Passenger Vehicles, Cars, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 20-Apr-10 20:28:31 AEST)

Seems to be worth a look? (I am no way affiliated with the seller)..

    Cheers

No, just means the new owner would have to get the car to RWC standards, get RW tested, then get brand new rego.

EDIT: A car can be sold with rego, but it needs a RWC certificate to have the registration transferred to the new owner.

This dude bought it 3 weeks ago, now wants to sell it for some b/s excuse that his missus can't drive manual. Well, hello, dufus, she couldn't drive manual 3 weeks ago either.

The car should therefore still have a current RWC as it's in his posession and still registered.

Proceed with buyer beware sensors fully activated.

    Thats a bit harsh!

It says she doesn't like a "manual".

Not can't drive one & hes an dufus for buying it.

Christ! I'm so over manuals now, it does my head in!!! Alot of people hate driving manuals too!

Does that mean I can't drive one & no one else can cause they dislike them?

What about a fully manaulized auto. Does that count?

Oh RW Certs last for 30 days too. So there should be one week left on the RW.

Well.... I can relate to her... There is something seriously wrong with me because i have real trouble driving an AUTO... So does my mum... and my grandma (genetic problem) last time i drove an auto something very similar happened to the front on the car i was driving, as what has happened to this little VR6... (and yes - i did only use one foot)
    Each to their own...

    I don't think it's harsh at all.

My point is for buyers to beware when someone invents a reason for selling, and then wants to sell without a RWC. The car must have had a RWC so recently that it should either be still current, or at least not more than 5 weeks or so expired, meaning getting another one should be easy, with nothing needed to be done. We all know that selling with a RWC brings buyers flocking whereas selling a pig in a poke sends them scattering.

There's something more to this story - such as the one bald tyre appearing after 3 weeks of ownership.

As I said, buyer beware. I didn't say don't buy it, it will have someone's name written all over it.
