A couple of years ago I needed a commuter car so I got my mother's old beat up 89 Honda Prelude that had been handed on through the family for years; dents on every panel from my younger brothers L plate years, 15 inch wheels, stereo only worked through one speaker, trashed interior and over 300,000 on the odo, but man was that a fun car. Driving through Galston Gorge on a summer evening with the sunroof open and that 4 wheel steering flinging me around every hairpin was worth 10 times the few hundred I paid for that car.

A true car enthusiast can have fun driving a Transit van if that's all they can get their hands on.

    true!

I just keep hearing people saying their gti's and other powerful cars were fun, so I thought it the gti.

I had fun driving my mum's camry. I've never driven a sports car so I don't know what fun you guys are talking about and wanted to find out.

the car search is over. euro cars are expensive and cars are expensive to own in general. I now live in the city and could get anywhere within city reach.

Ah, the youth of today. So impatient always looking for instant gratification.

I bet you a lot of money the 'people on here' who are saying how powerful and fun their GTI's are have owned quite a few **** cars as their first cars and built up to the GTI's. How can you know what a fun car is if you've never experienced a crap one?

Be patient young skywalker, your day will come where you can have the most fun, sporty, fastest car you can buy. Just be happy with your own set of wheels for now, trust me any set of wheels will be fun as your first car.

    Nope, VAG stands for

    Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft

Which just means Volkswagen, public limited company. i.e. a shareholder owned company.

I stand corrected. You learn something new everyday.

So why have I seen VAG used as an acromym for Volkswagen Auto Group numerous times?
