    Check the comment dude..
Says full engine rebuild, pistons, rings, etc.
Why wouldnt you just drop a VR6 in?? Probably end up cheaper than a rebuild. Unless he did it himself

MK2 adverts always say their great for VW collectors. Such a dumb line.

They are quite rare I guess so in a way they are, they can barely pull the skin off custard so it's not like the boy races want them

How many VW collectors do you know? And how many would want an un-original example with 250,000+ on the clock?

If you are talking air-cooled there is lots mate. Just because we all like to pimp them there is plenty of people out there that like to keep an original car.

I get that but not every MK2 that's for sale is for a collector. What i'm trying to say is if you are into you're VW's enough to be a collector you're gonna know what a MK2 is and don't need to be told they are a collectors car.

If it was a 3 door 16v then yes it's one for the collectors but an Aussie delivered car with high milage and aftermarket wheels just isn't.

Just because something is rare doesn't mean it's a collectors item. Would you call a MK3 2 door a collectors car or just un-common?
