Aww come on man - the first comment was me asking a question, the second is confusion about if he'd fitted seats wrong on purpose (which is now completely irrevelant) and the third is just a sarcastic comment, doesn't hurt anyone whatsoever. I never attacked the guy - I like his car, if it was a different colour I'd definitely want it.

And now you're talking about cancer!? Seriously man take a breather!

I'm not trying to start a battle. I've said what I need to.

I own a colour concept vr6 and I must say this guys car is in flawless condition. It is in much better knick than mine, thats for sure. As for the price? A near-perfect condition VR6 with all the fruit in completely stock condition? A special edition of a cult car? Yes it is very probably worth the $12k asking price. Especially if all the electrics are in working order.

It's not easy keeping a car to that level of condition, and not cheap either. He obviously values it and kudos to him for doing so. I personally wish I had more resources to do the same to mine, especially at the moment, but alas, not so.

As for the seats, yes CC's came with recaros and mine do have levers on both sides. It's rather handy actually.

Gotta agree with this. Keeping a cc in that condition for 16 years is so hard when they are such a awesome car. He'll most probably end up selling it for 9k. There arent that many people prepared to pay 11k for a mk3 cc at the moment.

The point I was trying to make is that if you can find a VR6 for 6k or so, it's going to have problems with it. For the sake of the argument, you would need to spend a few thousand to get it up to great condition (mechanically and aesthetically). Why bother when this guy has done all the work? If I had the money, and if I didn't already own a CC (and if I lived in Melbourne), I'd probably buy this.

Actually, no I wouldn't. I'd save another 3k and buy an Audi S3 instead

Isn't part of the fun repairing and fiddling with the car yourself? But fair point, it is most likely the only one in Australia in that kind of condition.

Although at 11.5k you might be tempted to spend the extra 1.5 and get that Mk4 R32 going on ebay at the moment.

Looks nice for sure, really doubt its worth the asking price though... I bought my first vr6 (granted it wasn't a colour concept, but it easily was just as clean inside and out and had even less kilometres on it) for a lot less than that. Clean mk3's do pop up every now and then, they're not that hard to find if you look hard. My little tip for people looking to buy mk3's, keep an eye on Drive.com.au, both of my mk3's actually came from dealerships on there instead of private sellers on carsales and I got them both for a bargain, dealers are often willing to knock a few thousand off there asking price if you know how to negotiate. Just have to watch all the sites, carsales, gumtree, ebay, drive, classifieds, etc. They will pop up

Yeah hard shell recaros in the cc had levers on both sides of both front seats (and if you lift one sides lever the lever on the other side of that seat lifts too. Colourconcept was 2 door almost everywhere else thus the handles. Awesome seats... apparently there was poor reception to the red ones and some have painted seats or something that made them black, so a few reds have all black seats.

Looks pretty mint. You'd want it to be super super mint for that price but maybe it is.... doesn't say price is set either so who knows what they'd take.
