Doesnt look like it. The wheels, rubber strips, interiors all wrong, no climatic, etc etc. Looks like theyre hoping for a sucker that wont be able to tell the difference

only thing gti about it other than the ad, is the badge on the back. did they ever come out in pov spec?

yeah, but its not GTi price. so i would say Paul from Bondi clicked the wrong model
nah but it has a GTI badge on the back! haha. maybe someone fooled him!
I'll send a message and see what he says (im curious)
I'd be asking for pics of the engine bay.
What a wanker! You see those sorts of ad shananigans in the bmw scene all the time. Every 3rd 3-series owner thinks he's worthy of putting m3 in his search tags because he's got an M badge on an e30 or, in the case of e36's, a cheap m3 bodykit on a 318iS. (Yep i spend too much time looking at ads)
I know that golf is very obviously not a GTI to us but someone new to the scene is probably a fair chance of getting stung by it if they are not car people....and that's crap!
Anyways, onto my car. I spent $2k on stuff from ECS last night.
H&R sport springs with KYB AGX damper adjustable shocks (My old stock suspension is shagged),
the front strut mounting kit, and rear strut mounts,
VW Stage 1 Clutch Kit (don't quite need to replace my stock clutch yet, but i'm planning ahead),
new tie rod ends and ball joints (i want the front end to feel fresh, and these bits are cheap),
and ECS adjustable front end links in case my sway bar rubs,
and an AFE Dry Cotton air filter to keep my MAF happy.
This will freshen up the daily so i can get my next e30 for some more on track fun.
eh? Are you trying to sell your car? Whats that about?
Anyway, the one on carsales. I don't think anyone would be stupid enough to think its a GTI before buying it. If you were in the market for a GTI you would easily be able to spot the differences in spec when comparing it to other genuine GTI's. Also wouldn't it say on the log book what model it is.
hehe...i just realised what i've done....
I thought i was on the 'what have you done to your mk4 today' page... doh....
In my defense, i had just recently woken up...
no wrong again...my post got moved here from 'what have you done to your mk4 today' along with all the others talking about that fake gti...
