you're right there lawny. esp with that mk 1 diesel that was at nats this year, I reckon this thing wouldn't quite be mint.

having said that, looks to be in very very very good condition! however, it's still a mk 1, and he's asking alot!

don't be bitter Mark (just get even!!!) in your car's case, you just need the right person to see what you've done, and I reckon you could get say $4k perhaps a bit more....suggestion, display it in the right places, like the VWCV Concours (this morning) and if people know what's gone into a resto/clean-up as far as $$$$ are concerned, they will pay !!!(you can quote me, only if the dude who said he'd buy my car today, puts his money where his mouth is )
