    this car is a bit of a bucket. looks like a mk2 from the front!

    mk1.5? you could buy a mk3 with p/s, a/c, airbags and rego for that much!

    well...
    its registered as a 76, build date is 12/77 and chassis date is something 78.
    correct me if im wrong, they are normally single carby, where as this one has been swapped to a twin.

    twin throat or actually twin carbies?

    They originally came with a single throat carb, twin throat carbs (probably a weber or similar) are a cheap and rewarding upgrade for a 1.6

    now your asking hard questions haha (i dont know a whole heap about engines). no idea sorry, got any pics of the difference and ill tell you what i think i saw

    No worries mate, even for a town where VWs have only just been discovered in the shape of MK5+MK6s, its defiantly not worth the 3k
