I've seen the one on ECS before, but at ~$300!! plus shipping, (at $254 to Sydney, totaling a whopping $554!!) that's too expensive ..

you can also get the same jack from COSTCO amongst other places - all based upon the same design minus a few differences.

Yeah I'll get one too. Although, my tough old ol' skool 2 tonner does such a good job, even on my sloped drive.

Be careful, that jack is only capable of lifting 850k.. Not 1.5T as they claim.

Though it has the lifting capacity only 850kg, somehow they confused the units, 1500lb is not 1.5Ton.

I've picked up a nice 2Ton similar jack from TTI at Lonsdale for $199 , it has a quick lift double pump and 450mm raised height.

    Yeah, definately not 1.5T.

A mate has one, and struggles to lift anything bigger than a Commodore, as you can imagine.

I've got an Arcan 1.5T, same as Costco. It's got two front wheels on the outside of the chassis, instead of the single roller. Much better for stability, if the ground's not that great. It's not that light, but not too heavy for constantly lifting it in and out of the van. Only other gripe, is that it's an inch too high to go under the front of GTIs, R32s, etc.

yeah, main reason for looking at one of these, is to get under my 'GTI' lowered on coils.

So, will the ~850kg jack lift the front of the car on its own? (to get stands under there?) or would I still have to lift one side at a time?? (PITA)
