Bora sports front grille (no badge)

So found a mesh/sports grille for the bora on ebay. $99 and free postage.

NO BADGE FRONT GRILL for VW BORA JETTA 98-04 VolksWagon | eBay

only problem is that it's black and I've got a red bora. Would I be able to just take this to a panel beater ? Or would the red/black combo look OK?

what do you guys think ?

Don't do it. For 2 reasons.

    1. Gloss black grille would look odd on a red car. If it was matt black maybe it would look better.

    2. No badge grilles with the bump where the VW badge used to be look awful (in my humble opinion), if you want to do a no badge grille do it right by filling the hood notch and getting a grille with no bump.

yeah, i rate that grille heaps over the ebay one. That way I could keep the v6 badge on it too... how much would that one be roughly ?

The kit filler is expensive, up around $150US plus shipping and then you need to get it welded in and the bonnet sprayed. Other option is to get a panel shop to do a custom job, likely cost about the same amount if not a little extra. Personally I like my VW badges, removing everything else is fine but leave them.
