Not really. Infact, that's still pretty cheap for the wheels, based on their popularity in the states.

without center caps, thats way over priced man.

look at it, the tyres a fu**** so imagine the rims by them self. with no center caps.

brand new center caps are like 85 buks each + shipping. and who noes how the bolts are. The wheels probelry need a full rebuild. And when your finished with them, they will cost you more then $2000.

And how many sets of BBS RS 045's have you seen for sale in australia Gordo??

Infact, how often do you see sets' of 4x100 RS's for sale?? They're out there, but not exactly common. I'm aware they're 'incomplete' but really. I mean I had a set of centre caps already lined up if I won the wheels.

i think you hit the nail on the head.
They are worth what someone is willing to pay. Someone was willing to pay $1200. So thats what theyre worth

I think people are too caught up with bargains that they have dug up from somewhere at some crazy cheap price then run around thinking thats the market value of something.

They're not exactly your cars Gordo, they're your fathers I doubt he has as much enthusiasm about wheels as you do hence why you have pocket money to play with...

The wheels went for what they were worth, they'd be well over 1500 had they included caps I'm guessing...

with 49 bids and that much interest they cant have been too expensive.
they also could have been someones dream set up so were willing to pay more then most.
also might have lived locally so didnt have to worry about a extra $200 postage like others might.

    so many factors...

if i was after another set of RS's id put a 2k bid on those... without hesitation! if **** went wrong, id sell them to the u.s for 2.5k in a heartbeat..... and i would easily get the cash for them, these wheels were the perfect set for any 4x100 VW
