The quattro looks pretty tidy to me.

The steering wheel and gear knob need a new home in the bin and the pipe under the bonnet needs replacing but otherwise looks like a genuine/honest car.

I like the little Lancia too.

3.2 is a typo , so dont be so critical. This is a legend man. Yes the wheels are dung beetle but this was an original 10v WR or MB and is a topper. A bit of shopping in the right places would have great wheels which are still available. Dont worry plenty things get bagged one here, im with you its a cool "old" car.
Im a sucker for the RR 20v having owned one but still cut my teeth on the 10v ones. A joy

Na mate this is a UR ( original in German) Quattro. They stayed 10Valve till 1989 mate then the might RR cam out 20V for a couple of years. The WR that i cut my teeth on was 10v 2.2 along with MB which was a champ was 2.3 10v. The RR was 2.3 20v. The S2 which was another joy was the Coupe 2.3 20v slightly detuned version of the RR. First time i ever felt sick in a car was in an S2 after chipping and fitting wastegate spring. I was the poor apprentice doing the boost recording in the passenger seat looking down, the tech (mentor) was somewhere else when he was driving it so made for a pleasant trip
    Ah the memories

ps they had the coupe out for many moons too but not flared, sometimes comes up for sale as a UR which is false

OK Jimmy thanks for that, starting to make sense! S2 sounds ridiculous!!

How about this one then, says its actually closer to a 2.1L, another thing i didn't know...

Same model as the CTS one? Looks great,

Buy it. That'd cost 6-7K pounds back home then you'd have to ship it!

Was it common for them to have a VW-stamped rocker/engine cover (apologies if the terminology isn't correct)?
    Nothing to see here...
