Built a few years back. Lots of expensive parts. GTI trying to be an R32?
2003 Volkswagen Golf Hatchback | Cars, Vans & Utes | Gumtree Australia Campbelltown Area - Campbelltown
Keen to find a build thread and some more specific detail on it,
Looks like a very well planned and executed build, and great value too

Nice find Adam! Got any vested interest in buying it?
Looks like an extensive build of a well put together MK4 GTI. Remember reading a thread about it somewhere but I can exactly remember as it has been a long time. If I dig it up I'll let you know.
Other than masquerading as an R32 it is a very nicely built car, very tempting
just keen to find out about the history if possible,
My next car will have 4 doors as we have a Jr Dubber on the way but seeing if I can tempt a friend
seems a good price..... ive also seen them pics somewhere before........

As far as I'm aware the original owner spent about $80k to bring it up to this spec. All fabrication was done in house, had full respray with the new genuine R32 bodykit fitted. From what I'm reading it made 220kw atw which is pretty strong numbers from a nimble little car. Heck I might buy it
FAB WORK DONE BY PR TECH IN BROOKVALE (PORSCHE RACING GUYS). The downside to this car really Adam is that it has had quite a few owners and I've seen it come up for sale more than 2x in the past 1-2 years which is worry and something to be made aware of. I've got more photos if your interested. Tempt a friend to buy this car? Am I reading your post right? For $20k its a lot of car for the money considering its been up for sale for well over that in the past.

This is why I'm keen to find out more,
despite the money spent on it, unless it was you who spent it, it always becomes easier to part with such things, I dread selling my car
as long as it has been loved, well serviced etc and if it check out, no reason to suspect there is any fault with it, good value if it is straight
Just remember that if need be the time comes to replace any parts on this car, it could be very costly. E.G: Those brake pads and discs don't look too cheap, as a general maintenance item anyway...
A friend just identified the car and tracked down the original owner, if anyone is keen to know more feel free to send me a PM, that was fast
I wont paste all the details in here out of respect for the current owner
I first saw this car for sale when i bought mine just over a year ago and about two times since then, which makes me think there could be something wrong with it.
I did want it pretty bad when i first saw it tho, looks like an amazing car both performance and look wise.
