Alot of Stitch wheels come multi drilled from factory like that, have seen the same on at least 10 other sets before (mainly 4/5x114.3).

How safe is it? i know all of the side ways pressure goes to the hub, but pushing on the wheel sideways?
    Any other brands do it?

They would have been tested before they are released like that from factory, so are plenty safe. Work and Enkie have done it aswell!

Pretty safe. As you stated, all weight is taken up by the hub (as long as you fit them in a hubcentric fashion), and any lateral forces are dealt with by the wheel being fitted at 4 or five points to the hub, so to push in at any one particular point it must also be pulled out on the opposite side of the hub.

I still don't like it myself. I'd always have a 'what if?' doubt in my mind, even when my brain tells me "Nah, it's fine!"
    Nothing to see here...

Only real thing wrong with them is the fact they dont have centre caps and the multi lug looks pretty ugly, but you should be able to source some on eBay/Yahoo auctions etc
