I think many of us would cry if we tallied up what we spend on our car to what we would expect to get if we sold it. I'm sure my mrs would have kittens if she knew.

I've also heard (not seen it IRL myself) that the engine swap was as 'factory', should have VW actually done a mk 1 16V. So I guess that always helps the 'completeness' of a car.

Looked in much better nick when valver sold it. Looks like it just needs a touch of visual TLC.

    Pretty much sums it up

It's a nice little car. Wheels look like they've not been very well cared for (they're raw polished alloy and needed careful TLC with Autosol every week to maintain the quality).

I think it's a little overpriced, but not too far off. Engine was very strong when I had it. The conversion job was extremely good with all new electrics and great attention to detail. It's not pretty, but it's very reliable and done the right way.

Someone pick it up, otherwise I'll do something stupid and buy it back again

Cheers. It's not actually here yet, I'll be flying up this week to drive it back. One way to acquaint yourself with your new car: Drive it half way across the country
