    1. lynx s/d manifold and 2. weber IDF carby

    both from same seller in Melbourne:

    good for a mk1 , i had the same on mine !! i might keep an eye on that

    would both items work together or not as manifold is sidedraft and carb is downdraft?

    that manifold is to suit a single sidedraft carb, not two sidedraft carbs.//

    and not, the carb is meant to be upright, hence why it suits beetles and kombis etc.

    ah silly me i stand corrected, will have to check the photo next time. decent buy if it stays around that money, there is a sidedraft with a rebuild kit in the for sale section at the moment i believe

    sidedrafts are pretty common to pop up on ebay everynow and then anyways.

    i've seen a golf with 2x IDF's on it on a twin downdraft manifold - fantastic setup and really much neater than the sidedraft 'cos the trumpets dont point right at the firewall, so you can stick a nice air filter setup on.

    I'm running (or will be when the Cabriolet comes back from the dyno. man, next week) a single IDF with a new Ramflo filter, which fits real neat.
