Not a VW, but there's a mint old Cortina that keeps turning up on my road, and it must be the best sounding 6cyl I'e heard. It shakes the house at idle, has a nice big cam rumble usually heard in 8's. Maybe the exhaustless VR6 might compete with it.

I have seen that one a few times.
Should be EUDM on the sticker but not my problem.

A guy in a bangin' black mkV TDi golf gave a quick hello as I was checking my pog's tyre pressures at the Milton BP this morning. Noticed quad exhaust tips as he drove off and god the car sounded great - not even just for a diesel.
