Just back, pretty tired.

Interesting track that Winton, not terribly high speed but very technical with lots of corners.

Got my times down to 1:49

Broke one pair of sunglasses and one gearbox.

Last round out the box jammed in third. PITA!

That's a pain to fix too as the box won't come apart unless you put it into neutral.

Here's some video I took of the races.

It's just the first 15 minutes of each session so you miss the last couple of laps of each session but you'll get the idea.

Excuse the shocking driving, it's my fist time out on this track.

By the end of the day I figured out that setting to set the front shocks on maximum firmness helped heaps with the body roll.

Popped my spare gearbox in today so I can get the one that was in there repaired.

A minor but important purchase arrived in the mail today.

A brand new set of seat runner guides.

My race seat runs on a frame that mounts into the stock seat rails.

The scrutineers have had issues with the amount of slop in the seat mounting due to the bushes being worn out.

The failure of such a minor part could have kept me off the track.

I've replaced them a few times with good second hand ones but I've come to realise that the track time is actually wearing them out.

I'm 105kg, the forces on that seat mount must be pretty significant during a race so I guess it's natural that they're going to wear out.

Next race car will have welded in mounts.
