What do you consider "high RPMs"? How hard will the long block rev comfortably? I mean, you'll never break anything, but i'm just wondering at what RPM the engine goes "hey, i can't breath!"

    I'm watching.

Good to hear Pete. I have plenty of faith that you bolted it all together correct, even if you didn't?

    Watch this!

    Before

    After

Fitting that manifold took a lot of time, whoever designed it never actually tried to intall it.

About 6 hours of trial fits and clearancing to make it fit.

I'm sort of running out of time tonight to install the fuel pump, although I'll try to do some prep work under the back of the car.

Still got to finish making the throttle cable. (It's a modified $2.99 Huffy universal brake cable from K-Mart.)

They're Dellorto DHLAs by the way. I believe they've passed through a few hands here.

I'm going to the Group 5 sprints at Sandown on Cup Day, with some luck and a lot of work, I'll be on the track rather than beside it.

Yep Dellorto DHLA 40mm. Freshly remanufactured by the Carby Shop. They were well beyond just "putting a kit" through them.

Yeah I figure these will go faster than K-Jet!

Still got to install the mech advance distributor too, which will mean losing the electronic ignition for the moment.

Oh if you're still wanting that dizzy, Tony is on the job looking for it. They moved some stuff around and put it and my ignition module somewhere and can't find it..
