Wreck to Race.

Made a heat shield today.















Racing does strange things to cars. I've lost 2 of the manifold studs on the track somewhere. The T piece for the fuel pressure gauge had undone one of the carby screws too so I had to make a little bracket to steady it.











To further alleviate any heat related issue I put a thermal sleeve over the fuel line.

Made some new gaskets.



Made up a duct to get some cold air blowing towards the carbys.

Working well so far. Knocked a couple of seconds off my best time. Paul's out here in his mk4 R32 too. He's had a few exciting moments.

Great day today, car ran well and I managed to get into the very low 1:37 mark. Previous best was 1.39, couldn't quite crack the 1:36 barrier though.
