From wreck to race and back to road again. I've started de-tuning and road prepping white.

It's quite a nostalgia trip as I undo the race mods I've done over the years.

White's back out of the garage to make room while I work on the Kamei golf.

I had to put a gearbox back in and it fired right up.

I've got a few days off over Easter so I'm trying to get white ready for a roadworthy test.

The windscreen is very sandblasted after a few years on the track. With the screen coming out it was time to investigate the pillars for rust.

There was more rust in the pillars than I was expecting. Previous owner had done a good job of bogging it up.

I had to repair the inner piece as well as replacing the outer skin.

I've got a progressive Weber to go into this, just need to find a stock or mild cam to suit solid lifters.

Good to see white getting some much needed care and attention, btw I absolutely love this thread I couldn't tell you how many hours I've spend reading it over and over.
