wow, its been a while...
Nearly there!!!
For those who're wondering where this project has gotten to - well, it's still sitting in the same spot it was in Feburary.
Was rather busy with Uni this semester, so that took most of my time and focus.
I ended up buying a cheap flare nut tool, which was a stupid idea and caused more hassle that what it was worth. I ended up getting a complete new line to replace one of the lines with a rounded nut. Slightly fiddly, but better than messing about with a cheap flare tool. The braking system is now complete with new front lines, just need to bleed. (Actually I did this a few months back)
I think it's just about ready for roadworthy. Just need to wash it, swap on some good tyres and bleed the brakes. Once it's registered, I'll look at installing a fire extinguisher and the gauges.
Went to the wreckers today, and got (hopefully) all of the bits I'll need to convert the cable clutch to hydraulic. The cable clutch is heavy, and I don't like the feel of it (it's not consistant motion). The hydraulic set up should fix this, and fingers crossed will be easy to install. I think the biggest issue will be having enough room to drill a hole in the fire wall with the engine in!
