    Thumbs up

Thanks guys, reading a bit further a Scirroco GTX looks and sounds the biz by the specs. A Corrado VR6 also looks pretty cool as well. I suppose to get a decent one of either, besides through you all, a personal import would be the go.
Oh well dream for the moment and just concerntrate on getting the best out of the Little Beastie as I can with all of your collective knowledge.

Plan on welding it fully sunday , pick up some castors Saturday sometime..
    Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...

    Andy is building up a Mk1 1.8T....

looking good with a huge amount of attention to details ( factory clamps, brackets etc..)

The red MK 2 is destined to have almost all its innards sent here ...trans, fuel system complete, TSW wheels , wiring . Pity these cars are so cheap in europe now, cant give them away......
    Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...

    ohhhhhhh...

Looking at that Goldy Bronze Rocco makes me want one bad... I can not beleive some of those cars in the wreckers That make me angry they are wrecking VW's but i spose they have so so many of them they dont know what to do with them...

Just a questions is there lots of houses in England with VW's sitting on the front lawn like that bcuz if there is im planning a holiday to just go and check out the pom's stash of water coolers

    Cheers James

Was cold Brackie, however managed to miss all the rain..

Mk 2 rocco's are quite common on the ground, managed to chat to a guy at one of the breakers who just bought one for a daily driver, paid like 150 quid ( $400 ) for a good runner .. hence why the rough ones get broken so quickly...

Got to drill the mount holes for the rotating fixture and a bit more welding to do...

LOL, bag wasnt to bad for weight as i ship the heavy stuff through a mate with a container service, Will be doing an order for 280 front discs, and 226 rear this month ( Feb) will be buying a set or 2 as spares..

yeah, the rotator will mount into the bumper holes, will post the pics as soon as its ready for use..

Andy won the gold rocco of fleabay.uk, paid about 1300 pounds for it ( ~$3300 AUD )..

and yes its abysmal as to what goes to the breakers over there...saw an A4 Audi that was driven in in very good condition, only to be thrown on the pile...one of many cars that terminate early..not all VW's by any means either...

Andy is a bit of a MK1 hoarder unlike myself... the red Mk2 was a daily up til the point of the gold Mk1 arriving, tried to sell it but there worth nothing ( as most 10+ year old cars in UK are..), hence why i have first dibs on just about the whole car...
some of the council laws over there allow them to collect cars that LOOK like they have been abandoned..there is a scirocco register member who had his car removed this way, still with thousands of pounds of new parts fitted.
Unsure of how it has turned out for the unfortunate fella..but i guess thats the danger of having to work on the street/verge...
